Sensitive and Rosacea-Prone Skin Routine

Sensitive and rosacea-prone skin types tend to be acutely reactive to environmental and lifestyle factors, including certain ingredients – these complexions need all the consideration they can get. We’ve devised the ideal weekly routine to calm and build resilience among sensitive skin types below.

Every Morning

Start with Balancing Cleanser, a creamy, non-foaming cleanser which can help to soothe dryness and balance the skin’s pH.

Layer Vitamin B Serum for a hydrating hit of essential fatty acids.

Finish with preferred moisturizer and SPF.

Evening

Start with Balancing Cleanser (two cleanses).

Build skin resilience with Vitamin E Serum’s restorative properties.

Finish with Essential Hydration Cream to seal in moisture.

Sensitive skin is genetic; often thinner in texture and especially reactive to the outside world.

For sensitive complexions, preserving the integrity of the skin’s defence lipid barrier is critical. On the other hand, sensitised skin is triggered by an intolerance to something it has been exposed to, or by an impaired lipid barrier which could be caused by a range of things, including using products which are too alkaline and disturb the balance of your skin’s pH. Persistent redness is often characterized as rosacea and often requires prescription treatment from a medical professional, however, it’s worth noting that Alpha-H’s non-AHA range is generally well tolerated by those experiencing rosacea.
