Retinal (retinaldehyde) is a form of Vitamin A, the same family as Retinol and Retinoic Acid, and one of the most researched ingredients in skincare.
Vitamin A only becomes active at the end of a conversion pathway: Retinol converts to retinal, retinal to retinoic acid (a prescription-only acid) and only at that final stage can it start to affect the skin. Retinal starts one step further along.
We use encapsulated Retinal, for a gentler release around the delicate eye area.
Where does it go in my routine? In the evening, apply Midnight Retinal Eye Cream to clean skin or after your prefered serums. Follow with your choice of moisturiser if desired.
Where should I use it? Midnight Retinal Eye Cream should be applied on the orbital bone around your eyes.
How much do I need? A pea sized amount.
How often should I use it? If new to Retinal, phase into your routine gradually, increasing usage based on skin's tolerance.
Pull off cap (do not unscrew) and press tube gently while gliding applicator over the orbital bone. Pat product into skin lightly with fingertips to complete application.
Our tubes and bottles all contain 30-35% Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) material. The Tube, Cap and Carton are all 100% recycable. Ceramic Applicator is not recycable. Please remove the ceramic tip and place in the general waste before recycling the remaining packaging.

For best results apply PM up to 4 evenings a week .
If your skin is sensitive always start slowly when introducing new products. Begin with 1-2 alternate evenings per week. If you are new to Retinal and predominantly sensitive, try applying a basic moisturiser before your Retinal eye cream to buffer absorption.
I have only been using the midnight retinal eye cream every other day for 2 weeks and have noticed I look well rested without the normal puffy eyes I usually have. I haven’t experienced any irritation and I normally have very sensitive eyes which is definitely a plus. Will be definitely keeping this in my routine and hope to see even more positive progress in my skin over time.
I use several ALPHAH products and love them. I’ve only just started using the Retinal eye cream so perhaps too early for a review but it’s lightweight consistency and applicator make it easy to glide on. I’ll be back soon to tell you the results in a few more weeks.

Loved this product! Used for 6 weeks in conjunction with the midnight reboot serum - noticeable brightening and reduction in under eye circles! Will absolutely keep using.
I think the Midnight Retinal Eye Cream would be a great product to use alongside the Midnight Reboot Serum (which is probably my favourite Alpha-H product). I did notice fine lines were reduced and I think with long term use there would definitely be a reduction in fine lines, and more firmness around the eye area.
