Salicylic Acid
Salicylic Acid is a Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA). Being an an oil-soluble exfoliant, Salicylic Acid can exfoliate within the pores and helps to de-congest skin by dissolving dirt, debris and dead skin cell build up lining the pores which can lead to breakouts. Salicylic Acid can also help reduce inflammation and help to regulate excess sebum helping to prevent blemishes and the spread of bacteria on the skin. Best avoided when pregnant and/or breastfeeding.
